Sophisticated technology, without building a platform from scratch.
Scholarship Insights exists because scholarship granting organizations need the same quality of systems as much larger nonprofits, and should not have to build their own software, or rent a rigid one, to get it.
Build on an established CRM. Configure it for the work.
Most SGOs are small teams with demanding obligations. They answer to donors, families, schools, boards and regulators, and their records have to hold up to all of them.
We could have built another proprietary scholarship platform. We chose instead to build on Salesforce, which many nonprofits already rely on, and to bring what is specific to scholarship granting: the data model, the portals, the compliance reporting and the knowledge of how the work actually runs.
That means the organizations we work with own their system and their data, and can keep extending it long after the first launch.
Built alongside a working scholarship organization.
Our data model, portals and compliance tools were first built for Scholar Street, a Virginia scholarship granting organization. Designing them around a real organization's donors, families, schools and deadlines shaped every part of what we now configure for others. Scholarship Insights' founders also helped found Scholar Street.
What you can expect from us.
Practical Salesforce expertise
Configuration, automation, security and reporting, applied to the problems an SGO actually has.
An understanding of SGO operations
Donor designations, eligibility rules, selection committees, payments to schools and annual deadlines are the starting point, not something to learn on your project.
Configurable, not rigid
Your programs differ from the next organization's, so the system is configured to them rather than forcing them into fixed screens.
Long-term relationships
Launch is the beginning. We stay involved as rules change and your organization grows.
Plain, accurate claims
We tell you what is built, what is in development and what depends on rules not yet final.
We would like to hear about your organization.
