Donor & applicant portals

Branded portals, hosted by us, connected to your Salesforce.

Families apply and donors give through pages in your organization's name, colors and logo. What they submit becomes Salesforce records your staff can work with, without exports, imports or retyping.

How they connect

Part of your system, not a separate one.

The portals are web applications we host and maintain for you. Your staff never need a second system: applications, gifts and their status arrive in Salesforce, where the rest of your work already happens.

  • Records in Salesforce

A submitted application or completed gift creates or updates the matching Salesforce records: the family, the students, the donor and the donation.

  • Sensitive documents, access-controlled

Uploaded documents such as tax returns are stored in private, access-controlled storage and attached to the family's record in your Salesforce, where your Salesforce permissions decide who can open them.

  • Configured for each SGO

Your name, logo, colors, application windows, questions and programs are set for your organization.

For applicants

A guided application families can finish on a phone.

  1. Scan a QR code

Each SGO gets a short, permanent link for flyers and school offices. It can be pointed somewhere new later without reprinting anything.

  2. Land on your branded page

Families see your organization, whether applications are open, and what to expect, then create a secure sign-in.

  3. Apply step by step

One guided application covers the household, each student, income and documents. Progress saves as they go.

  4. Follow the status

A family portal shows where each application stands, which documents are still needed and any awards.

Income verification

Household income, read from the documents families upload.

Families upload a W-2, 1099 or federal tax return in the portal. The portal reads the income, totals the household and checks it against your program's income limit, so staff are not keying figures from tax forms.

  • Read on upload

W-2s, 1099s and federal returns are read as soon as they arrive, whether a PDF or a photo taken on a phone.

  • Counted once

A document uploaded for two applications counts once, and when a federal return is present it is used in place of the W-2s already included in it.

  • Verified only when certain

Income is marked verified only when the figures are read with high confidence. Otherwise nothing is verified and the family is asked for a clearer copy.

  • Checked against the income limit

Verified household income is compared with the limit for the family's area, such as 300% of area median gross income for the federal credit, and the result appears on the record in Salesforce.

  • Kept as decided

Once a figure is verified, families cannot remove the documents behind it, and once an application is decided, the income it was decided on stays as recorded.

For donors

A giving page that records the details you will need later.

  • Your branding, with a QR code for events and print
  • Secure card payment, processed by Stripe
  • The donor's designation and program choice captured with the gift
  • An emailed receipt, and the donor's choice of email or mail for year-end documents
  • The gift recorded against the donor in Salesforce, ready for acknowledgment and reporting

Which tax-credit programs a giving page offers depends on where your organization is approved to operate.

Security

Collected carefully, stored deliberately.

  • Secure sign-in

Families and staff sign in through a dedicated authentication service, never with passwords we store ourselves.

  • Each family sees only its own records

Access rules in the database, not just the page, keep one household's information away from another.

  • Encrypted documents

Uploads are kept in private, encrypted storage and opened in the portal only through short-lived links. The copy in Salesforce follows your Salesforce permissions.

  • Payments handled by Stripe

Card details go to Stripe directly and never touch your Salesforce or our servers.

  • Each organization kept separate

Each organization's records are separated in the database, and each organization's Salesforce connection uses its own credentials.

  • Salesforce permissions

Inside Salesforce, your administrators decide which staff see which records and fields.
